Guidelines for nomination of Fellows and Honorary Fellows

Fellowship is a form of recognition bestowed by the Institute on a current Full Member who has been a senior practitioner of influence in the environmental profession over a period of at least 10 years in accordance with EIANZ By-law 9.

Honorary Fellowship is a form of recognition bestowed by the Institute on a person, not necessarily a member of the Institute, who has achieved the high standards of seniority and professional contribution required of an EIANZ Fellow.

An Honorary Fellow will have made an outstanding contribution to:

  • the development of the environment profession; or
  • the development of knowledge about the environment; or
  • the implementation of environmental policy or good practice environmental management; and
  • has also been a senior practitioner of influence, having played a leading role in one or more environmental fields over a period of at least 10 years in a senior role.
