The Contaminated Land Special Interest Section (Contaminated Land SIS) aims to develop and promote knowledge of this specialised area of environmental practice and advance the professional standing and recognition of land contamination practitioners.
The Contaminated Land SIS draws on the expertise of EIANZ members and Certified Environmental Practitioners to promote dialogue around current and emerging trends, as well as issues and challenges in the land contamination sector.
In 2014, Site Contamination was included as a specialist certification category in the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme.
We are currently building the capacity of this SIS Group and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
If you would like to know more contact contaminated-land@eianz.org.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest from EIANZ members and CEnvPs for the role of Chair in this Special Interest Section. Applications are open until Friday 19 March 2021.
EIANZ acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the traditional custodians of Australia and Māori as the tangata whenua (original people of the land) of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
