The opportunity: 

Our National Advisory team is recruiting for Principal / Senior Sustainability Consultants to deliver sustainability services for significant projects that shape the communities in which we live.  Sitting within the Environment, Climate Change and Sustainability team you will lead the successful integration and delivery of sustainability strategy, decarbonisation roadmaps, initiatives assessment and climate resilience for major infrastructure projects.

Role responsibilities: 

• Provide sustainability support to project teams in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 
• Support/lead the successful integration and delivery of sustainability strategy, assessments and initiatives including ratings assessments (including IS and Green Star).  
• Undertake and/or review of sustainability modelling calculations and studies, including greenhouse gas emissions, life cycle assessment, water cycle management and climate change risk assessments.  
• Preparation of technical reports required to facilitate project delivery to a high standard. 
• Provide project coordination and management. 
• Work collaboratively as part of an integrated advisory sector and across project teams. 
• Build relationships with and deliver exemplar services to internal and external stakeholders and clients. 
• Undertake business development for cross-sector sustainability services including transport, water and energy sectors, and support clients in carbon and net zero strategies 

What you’ll bring to the team:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Management or similar.  
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in sustainability strategy and/or modelling.  
• Carbon footprinting, GHG assessments, resource modelling and/or climate change risk assessment desirable.  
• Experience with IS and/or Green Star rating schemes and working within multi-disciplinary teams is an advantage.  
• Interest or experience in emerging sustainability areas such as regenerative design, circular economy, climate change adaptation and resilience.  
• Be able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
