About the role
Infrastructure NT is seeking a skilled environmental professional to join our team delivering major infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory. This position is available at either the Environmental Scientist (P3) or Senior Environmental Scientist (SP1) level, depending on experience.
Key responsibilities
As an Environmental Scientist (P3), you’ll contribute to environmental impact assessments, support the development of strategic solutions, and manage consultant contracts to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. You’ll provide expert advice under NT and Commonwealth legislation and play a key role in securing environmental approvals for infrastructure projects that shape the Territory’s future.
As a Senior Environmental Scientist (SP1), you will lead strategic environmental planning and approvals for major infrastructure projects across the Northern Territory. You will provide expert advice under NT and Commonwealth legislation, manage complex environmental assessments, and develop solutions to address regional environmental impacts. The position requires demonstrated leadership, high-level stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage complex work programs that contribute to sustainable development outcomes.
