We have an exciting opportunity for a professional individual who is passionate about managing and protecting Redland City Council's environmental assets through implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS). The position involves robust documentation development and maintenance, incident investigations and reporting, operations improvement projects and Environmental Authority compliance and Regulator and stakeholder liaison. You will ensure Council is managing its environmental responsibilities and aspects through practical approaches, problem solving and interpersonal collaboration.

What you’ll bring

We would love to hear from you or someone you know who:

 

 

Is a self starter with exceptional data analysis and report writing skills.

Will be an effective team member and communicator who can deliver outstanding coaching and guidance to internal stakeholders.

Has proficiency in developing, implementing and auditing of environmental management systems (EMS), environmental authorities, licences and permits.

Has a working knowledge of ISO standards and legislation including the Environmental Protection Act, Local Government Act, Council's Local Laws and State and Commonwealth legislation.

Possesses well-developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with a strong attention to detail and the capacity to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Is a strategic thinker for continuous improvement of process, and has experience navigating, interpreting, and applying legislation for provision of advice toward compliant Council activities.

Eligibility

 

You'll hold a professional qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience.

You'll have a current C class drivers licence.
