It's that time of year again!
All EIANZ members in Victoria are invited to the 2025 Victorian Division Committee Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 21 August 2025 at the Arup Melbourne office from 5 -7pm.
Brief AGM formalities will be followed by our inspiring guest speaker - Rob Gell AM BSc (Hons) FRGS FEIANZ. There will be complimentary drinks and nibbles afterwards, where you can mingle and network with your fellow EIANZ members.
We are very lucky to have Rob Gell offer to give a presentation at the AGM, which he has entitled: ‘What Rob did next?’
Rob Gell is an environmental geoscientist (coastal geomorphologist) with a career that spans academia and television, then with non-profit, government and private organisations in sustainable business consulting. Currently, Rob is a company director or advisor to a range of sustainable technology companies actively engaged in developing projects and solutions supporting transformation to a sustainable society.
Becoming more involved with EIANZ through your local committee is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, connect with your peers, and advance your career development.
Committee members propose and organise events and activities for VIC division members and participate in national calls for feedback on environmental issues and submissions. Typically, the committee meets for one hour 8-10 times per year in addition to the AGM. The Division are always looking for new people and ideas to bring to the committee!
Coming along to the AGM is a great way to find out more about being on the committee and you will have the opportunity to officially join the committee at the AGM if you are interested.
The format of the evening will feature the formal AGM proceedings, confirmation of the 2024 draft minutes, and councillor's reports. Note event is in person only. If you are an EIANZ member and unable to attend please provide a proxy form so another member can vote on your behalf.
