ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

With the continued success and growth of our Mudgee office, we are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Principal or Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Mudgee team.  You will have the opportunity to work on interesting and diverse projects, both around the Mudgee region and further afield, delivering solutions to our clients, and to regional Australia.  

The role will involve supporting project delivery for our team and developing new opportunities for the Mudgee office and further afield, including project management, impact assessment, long term monitoring programs, proposal and report writing, and continuing to foster our client relationships.  We will provide you with opportunities to further broaden your expertise while being supported by a team of approachable experts.

About you:
This role will allow you to combine your passion for environmental management, industry networking and well-developed writing and project management skills to create high quality work and great outcomes for our clients and the environment.

We think you will love this role if you’re the type of person who:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Planning or related field – come to us with your technical niche- let’s talk about how you’ll fit in
  • At least 10 years industry experience (as a guide)
  • Consulting experience highly desirable
  • Business development experience, and a proven track record of winning work
  • Experience mentoring others in your area of expertise
  • Confidence in meeting, advising and working with clients and regulators
  • Working knowledge of environmental legislation including the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, and the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
  • Experience in preparing a range of high-quality consulting reports, including for environmental assessment, planning approvals, monitoring and management
  • Sound communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others both internally and externally
  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required.
