We are looking for a Senior Manager, Environment and Approvals to support our team in Australia and New Zealand, where we are part of Southerly Ten, a specialist offshore wind energy developer from the team behind Star of the South, Australia’s most advanced offshore wind project. Southerly Ten is backed Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), the world’s largest clean energy fund and the group for which COP exclusively develops offshore wind projects around the world. 

As our new Senior Manager, Environment and Approvals, you will take the lead on consenting activities on our projects in Australia and manage consultants undertaking Environmental Assessment work and other permitting/consents works to allow for the various phases of development, construction, and operation of our offshore wind pipeline in Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Approvals, Australia, the Senior Manager, Environment and Approvals will be part of the global Environment and Consenting practice within COP.

The Star of the South project is undertaking a complex approval process with a combined Environment Effects Statement and Environmental Impact Statement (EES/EIS). The role is integral to obtaining community and industry views and reporting to inform the project’s decision-making, as well as the Project’s EIS/EES submissions to state and federal Government.
