  • Top tier environmental and social consultancy
  • Flexible location - Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide

Our environmental and social impact assessment team enjoys a strong reputation for expertise and project excellence; our work pipeline is strong; and our projects across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific are varied and challenging

About the role

With over 40 years’ experience in delivering large-scale environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) in the Asia Pacific region, we’re known in the market place for taking on the tricky, the complex and the technically challenging projects. Now Coffey is part of Tetra Tech, the experience, projects and international expert advice available to staff is better than ever before.

Working across mining, transport, and energy infrastructure sectors, our public and private sector clients engage us as trusted advisors to manage their ESIA risks and to deliver high quality solutions on their critical projects across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific.

In this role, you’ll join a collegiate and professional team who work together across multiple offices within the Asia Pacific region. Working closely with senior and principal level colleagues, you’ll be supported technically, while being encouraged and empowered to deliver your own projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice and support to clients on environmental and social aspects across the full project life cycle.
  • Managing the delivery of ESIAs and technical studies, working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coordinating and preparing complex environmental approval documentation.
  • Engaging with a wide range of government and community stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and growing client relationships and building your profile at industry seminars and events.

About you

With a minimum of 4 years’ experience, you’ll be tertiary qualified in environmental science or engineering (or similar) and have experience in impact assessment.

You’ll enjoy providing advice and high-quality outcomes for clients as well as collaborating with colleagues across our team and the company more broadly.

You’ll be passionate in sharing and extending your knowledge and providing technical and career guidance and advice for our junior team members.

An ability to travel throughout the Asia Pacific and beyond to work on our diverse range of projects as required, is also a must.
