The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced restoration ecologist or botanist to join our team in Newcastle, Gosford and/or Wollongong on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity, with a high percentage of projects developing stewardship sites and private land conservation agreements you will be providing technical advice and support to landholders and clients on an ongoing basis.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have extensive field experience and at least some consulting experience. You will be working across multiple projects and locations, so a willingness to be flexible and be able to travel is essential.
You must also hold a manual drivers’ licence and have the right to work in Australia.

Tertiary qualifications in ecology or botany.
A minimum of three years’ botanical experience, preferably in consultancy or the public sector
Experience or exposure to the Biodiversity Offset Scheme (BOS), particularly dealing with stewardship sites.
Broad plant identification skills, with experience in NSW
Demonstrated experience with field survey design and implementation
Experience with stakeholder engagement such as landowner liaison and the Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT)
Working knowledge of Commonwealth and state legislation with regard to ecology
Strong proposal and report writing skills.
Experience in client relationship management and business development including client liaison and consultation.
Demonstrated experience with project management, including managing budgets and delivery within set timeframes.
