About the Role

An opportunity exists for a botanist or plant ecologist to work with a team of experts supporting the agency to deliver biodiversity conservation in the Greater Sydney region. The role assists the agency to deliver legislative responsibilities under the Biodiversity Conservation Act, 2016, through provision of technical expertise.

Major areas of work include maintaining data that underpins biodiversity legislation and delivering the Saving our Species program.

About you

Are you a botanist or plant ecologist with an expertise in the flora and TECs of the Sydney region? Do you have desktop and field skills that enable you to identify, analyse and interpret botanical and environmental variables?

Are you a driven project manager with a track record of delivery?

Are you an effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with others to solve issues to continuously improve processes and approaches to work?

Essential requirements

•         A degree in Science or in a relevant natural resource discipline.

•         A valid Australian driver’s licence, with four-wheel drive experience and training preferable.
