The opportunity

We are looking for a Project Manager’s Assistant (Equipment) to support project delivery by assisting Project Managers with the day-to-day management of projects and client portfolios.

This role is responsible for organising, maintaining, and deploying technical and field equipment for environmental consultants and field teams, ensuring all tools and instrumentation are ready, fit for purpose, and available for fieldwork. By efficiently managing equipment and resources, this role helps teams deliver environmental assessments, monitoring, and project work effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Support with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all technical field equipment, including instruments, sensors, and sampling kits.
  • Ensure all equipment is serviced, calibrated, clean, and fully functional prior to deployment.
  • Organise and maintain storage areas for easy access, safe handling, and efficient battery charging.
  • Track equipment usage, return dates, condition, and service history.
  • Prepare, pack, and dispatch equipment for field trips as required by consultants.
  • Coordinate timely return of equipment from field sites.
  • Support inventory planning and replenishment of consumables and replacement parts.
  • Provide logistical support for field teams, including vehicle loading, tracking, and coordination.

Our ideal candidate

  • At least 3 years’ experience in project administration or similiar 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
  • A proactive, team focused attitude with a strong attention to detail
  • Full Australian working rights and a valid drivers licence
  • Able to tow a trailer advantageous
