Niche is the largest privately-owned specialist biodiversity and heritage consultancy in Australia. We are founded on our shared purpose: to empower people to create a sustainable future. For us, our name embodies our sense of purpose.
We are convinced there is a niche solution to every environmental, social or sustainability challenge our clients’ projects face. Sometimes that is a solution requiring the combined skills and experience of our diverse community of technical experts and strategic advisors.
At Niche, we do work that matters and has a lasting and profound impact on our clients, our communities, our environment. We want to leave a positive legacy on the world and create a sustainable future.
We look for people who have a growth mindset and a positive approach to problem solving, who thrive on creating structure and clarity, and who lead with both empathy and accountability. You believe that great project delivery is disciplined yet human-centred, and you are passionate about making a tangible difference for people and the planet.
We are looking for a Project Manager’s Assistant (Equipment) to support project delivery by assisting Project Managers with the day-to-day management of projects and client portfolios.
This role is responsible for organising, maintaining, and deploying technical and field equipment for environmental consultants and field teams, ensuring all tools and instrumentation are ready, fit for purpose, and available for fieldwork. By efficiently managing equipment and resources, this role helps teams deliver environmental assessments, monitoring, and project work effectively.
If this sounds like a great fit, please submit your application including a resume and cover letter addressing the key requirements to careers@niche-eh.com
We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for all positions.
We do not accept Agency representations.
Niche is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We encourage qualified candidates of all differences to apply. Our recruitment process includes behavioural and medical testing. We also recognise the same recruitment process doesn’t fit all, so if you require any accommodations or adjustments, simply let us know at the time you apply.
Applicants are required to have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this opportunity.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
