Are you interested in contributing to better environmental outcomes for WA through the delivery of a NEW whole-of-government Native Vegetation Policy?
We are looking for people ready to be at the leading edge, shaping practical reforms for efficiency, clarity and transparency for all stakeholders - along with better native vegetation outcomes for the State.
We have a number of NEW roles which have been established to help drive improved coordination across the variety of government functions that affect how stakeholders engage with native vegetation - regulatory, voluntary and otherwise. They are 'roll your sleeves up and get the job done' roles in a dynamic, collaborative, supportive, fast-paced team. We have a sense of humour and a flat structure.
As Western Australia's primary water and environmental regulator, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation has a responsibility to be an influential and future-focused organisation. Our vision is for a low-carbon Western Australia with a healthy environment and secure water resources for future generations.
The department holds itself accountable to being fair and committed. We respect First Nations people knowledge and cultural advice. As a forward-looking department we are guided by good science and embrace new technologies and practices. We value and engage with our stakeholders; to be transparent in all we do and build trusted relationships.
