We are looking for people ready to be at the leading edge, shaping practical reforms for efficiency, clarity and transparency for all stakeholders - along with better native vegetation outcomes for the State.

We have a number of NEW roles which have been established to help drive improved coordination across the variety of government functions that affect how stakeholders engage with native vegetation - regulatory, voluntary and otherwise. They are 'roll your sleeves up and get the job done' roles in a dynamic, collaborative, supportive, fast-paced team. We have a sense of humour and a flat structure.

About You:

We are looking to build a team of people who have skills and experience in the following areas:

• Public policy-making (not limited to environmental policy).
• Communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Economics (environmental or resource economics, natural capital accounting).
• Environmental regulation and legislation (in particular, offsets).
• Strategic landscape planning (ecological connectivity and function).
• Environmental mapping based on remote sensing (use in management decisions).
• Business improvement (with a focus on regulatory process and outcomes).

To be successful in our team, you will need to have:

• Project and/or program management skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and influence without formal power in an inter-organisational setting.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply these to ensure high quality advice, policy-making or project delivery.
• A sense of humour, and ability to respond to uncertainty as an opportunity.

Policy roles in the branch:

• Scope, steer and lead impactful strategic policy reform projects and initiatives.
• Analyse complex problems and translate strategic direction into practical action and tangible outputs.
• Inspire colleagues and stakeholders to see and commit to the way forward.
• Apply effective stakeholder engagement and robust governance so that project outputs meet needs, are wanted, endorsed, accepted and implemented.

Program and project roles in the branch:

• Coordinate and manage projects and programs and ensure robust governance and reliable milestone delivery.
• Apply effective stakeholder engagement, governance and co-design processes so that project outputs meet needs, are wanted, endorsed, accepted and implemented.
• Build and leverage networks, apply innovation and an outcome-focus to solve project and program delivery challenges.

Technical roles in the branch:

• Apply their significant technical expertise to meaningfully link science to policy and management, tailoring communication style to meet audience needs.
• Coordinate and manage projects and programs to ensure robust governance and reliable milestone delivery.
• Apply effective stakeholder engagement and so that project outputs meet needs, are wanted, endorsed, accepted and implemented.
