JBSGs Sydney office is seeking dynamic and driven graduate environmental engineers/scientists /occupational hygienists to join its energetic team which includes an in-house NSW EPA Accredited Auditor, Contaminated Land Certified Practitioners, Licensed Asbestos Assessors and stakeholder risk management personnel.

JBSG is a vibrant and fast-growing environmental consultancy that offer a niche range of services. JBSG currently employs 230 professionals across Australia and within this expanding group we have created specialist contaminated land and hazardous materials consultant teams. We have a reputation as being fast and capable experts in our chosen fields, which is reflected in the scale of the companys projects across all of Australia. JBSG is currently included on a range of government and national consulting panels and contracts with government and institutional companies in addition to significant commitments to clients within the urban development, mining, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.

With projects across all of Australia, whilst you will be based in the Sydney office, there are good opportunities for short-duration (less than 2 week) project-related travel during your employment in addition to potential for opportunities to live and work in other Australian capital cities.

The successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • An Environmental Engineering / Science or Occupational Hygiene Degree with a sound understanding of geology, hydrogeology, chemistry and/or occupational hygiene related concepts.
  • A keen interest in Contaminated Land Assessment/Remediation; and/or Occupation Hygiene, specifically hazardous materials occurrence/exposure management. Willingness and capability to travel to areas outside of Sydney.
  • Confidence and ability to work independently in fieldwork settings.
  • Drivers License vehicles provided.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to evaluate and derive solutions when faced with the unexpected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be pro-active, self-motivated and friendly.

 

Selection of suitable candidates will be based on potential rather than just experience and as such fresh university graduates with limited industry experience are encouraged to apply as well as those with up to 2 years experience.
