  • Identify complex flora species across various NSW bioregions.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, including Vegetation Management Plans (VMPs) and Flora and Fauna Assessments.
  • UtiliSe GIS and digital field-capture tools to collect and analyse botanical data.
  • For Senior Levels: Provide mentorship to junior staff, lead complex project delivery, and manage client/stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborate with in-house ecologists, arborists & bushfire planners, on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Undertake ecology work when overflow occurs.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Botany, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in botanical surveying (years of experience will dictate level: 2–5 for Intermediate; 5+ for Senior).
  • Strong plant identification skills relevant to NSW flora.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to travel for field work.

Desirable:

  • BAM Accreditation (highly regarded for Senior roles).

  • Specialist skills in specific taxa (e.g., orchids, grasses, or groundwater-dependent ecosystems).

Why Join Us?

  • Professional Development: Opportunities for mentorship and career growth within the company.
