This is a full time, contract position, paid in US dollars, based in Pohnpei, Micronesia.

The role is responsible for environmental risk management for the World Bank portfolio, on behalf of the Government of FSM.  The person will coordinate the work required to complete project preparation, appraisal, implementation and closure tasks for environmental risk management. The Environmental Specialist will also be responsible for engagement with national and state stakeholders and World Bank task teams, providing capacity building to CIU and PIU teams, supporting the CIU Program Manager with strategic issues relating to the environmental risk management of the portfolio. The role will include mentoring.  Due to the evolving nature of the portfolio, the responsibilities and priorities may change, so the person must be adaptable, reliable and pro-active to manage risks and changes as they arise.
