Wellington Branch Event | Environmental management in the downstream oil industry

The Wellington Branch of EIANZ invites you to come and hear about the latest environmental management practices on modern service station builds, where you will hear from the following speakers:

Neil Moon, Z Energy's Retail Engineering Manager
Environmental Engineering Controls: This session will cover a range of design controls and measures that are put in place on service station sites to protect the environment. Neil will outline the environmental engineering controls that are inherent in Z's service station designs and discuss the importance of the continuous improvement cycle in service station design.

Martin Robertson, Z Energy's Environmental Manager
Vapour Recovery at Service Stations: Martin will discuss why Z Energy has adopted stage 2 Vapour recovery (VR2) on its Z service station network. Martin will cover Z's investigation of VR2 including regulatory drivers and environmental benefits, and he will explain why Z is investing in petrol vapour recovery on all new service stations and re-tank redevelopments.

Kevin Tearney, Jacobs' Principal environment, planning and spatial consultant, President EIANZ's New Zealand Chapter
CEnvP: Kevin will provide a brief update on the history of the scheme, its benefits and uptake and outline why there has been a widespread uptake of CEnvP's contaminated land specialist category in New Zealand. He will also give an update on the implications of the proposed merger of the two Australian certification schemes.
