In the second half of 2025, we saw three key documents released by the Australian Government - the long-awaited National Climate Risk Assessment (NCRA), the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and the updated Net Zero Plan (NZP) – reflecting the new Australian interim emissions reduction target of 62-70% below 2005 levels by 2035. For this webinar we will provide an overview of each document before a short panel session to discuss how they come together to paint a picture for Australia’s response to climate change and a look towards our future.
Celia Debens | Celia is an environment practitioner by background and a member of the EIANZ Climate Change Special Interest Section. A Partner in Deloitte’s Climate and Sustainability team, based in Perth, Celia focuses on the inter-relation of our natural environment and climate change. Dr Fahim Tonmoy | Fahim is a Director in Sustainability & Climate Change with over 15 years’ experience helping governments and industry manage climate and natural disaster risks, and a contributor to the methodology for Australia’s first National Climate Risk Assessment. Fahim will be leading the presentation on the National Climate Risk Assessment.
