Bringing together a diverse range of practitioners, government representatives, industry and non-government organisations to explore current botanical practice in relation to flora and vegetation survey approaches and methodologies to appropriately inform environmental impact assessment in the Western Australian context.
Key sessions include ‘Whole of Government Approach’, presented by DoEE, DWER, EPA Support, DMIRS and DLPH, community expectations, the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and Regulations update, Botany in EIA, taxonomy and its challenges, vegetation classification, and much more.
The two-day program aims to promote information sharing, clarify government expectations, host a technical discussion on baseline survey methods for EIA and discuss challenges ahead.
Be part of this two-day forum to collaborate, share knowledge, learn, and discuss ideas and current issues. A sundowner event will promote networking and a discussion of ‘hot topics’ and will be held on the second day from 5pm-7pm.
