Why mentoring?

Professional mentoring is a powerful tool for environmental professionals at any stage of their career. For students and early career professionals, the workplace can be a challenging environment to navigate and the right choices are not always clear. A positive mentoring partnership can promote confidence, instil ethics, inspire passion and stimulate career growth. For experienced professionals, being a mentor improves leaderships skills and instils confidence in their leadership ability.

The mentoring program is designed to guide you through your career as either a student or early career professional. It is not intended to secure you employment.

The 2026 program

EIANZ Victorian Division's Mentoring Program will run from April to September 2026 and will include:

• An information session
• Facilitated pairing of mentors and mentees
• A mentoring program kick-off (Progress and purpose in your mentoring partnership)
• A networking event
• A final mentoring skills event to finish strongly!

You ane your mentor/mentee will also organise mentoring sessions outside of these structured events.

How to participate?

Registration is a 2-part process. Please complete the mentoring pairing survey by clicking on the teal bottom below. Once you have completed the pairing survey please click on the buttons below to register.

Register via the mentee or mentor buttons below and complete the mentoring pairing survey in the link below before 5:00pm on Wednesday 25 March 2026. Mentee/mentor pairing will be based on survey results.

Mentors will participate in the program free of charge.
