Why mentoring?

Professional mentoring is a powerful tool for environmental professionals at any stage of their career. For students and early career professionals, the workplace can be a challenging environment to navigate and the right choices are not always clear. A positive mentoring partnership can promote confidence, instil ethics, inspire passion and stimulate career growth. For experienced professionals, being a mentor improves leaderships skills and instils confidence in their leadership ability. The responsibility of helping guide someone’s career and goals requires the mentor to teach, motivate and offer honest feedback in difficult conversations.

The mentoring program is designed to guide you through your career as either a student or early career professional. It is not intended to secure you employment.

The 2026 program

EIANZ SEQ Division's Mentoring Program will run from April to December 2026. A variety of different events will be held during this program.

• Program introduction and kick off event in April with Nicole Chambers
• A virtual speed networking event
• Check in function with guest speaker
• End of year celebration in December

Cost:

Mentees:
$95 | EIANZ members
$150 | Non-members
Mentors will participate in the program free of charge.

How to participate?

Registration is a 2-part process. Please complete the mentoring pairing survey by clicking on the teal bottom below. Once you have completed the pairing survey please click on the buttons below to register.

Register via the mentee or mentor buttons below and complete the mentoring pairing survey in the link below before 5:00pm on Friday 6 March 2026. Mentee/mentor pairing will be based on survey results.
