EIANZ NSW Division and Greater Sydney Landcare invite you to take part in a hands-on day of tree planting. Help cool our suburbs, create vital habitat for birds and wildlife, and connect with fellow practitioners and community members.
Come along and plant native trees and shrubs along Ponds Creek, receive on-site training and provided with expert guidance along the way.
Whether it's your first time planting or you're a seasoned bushcarer, everyone's welcome. No experience needed. It's a family-friendly day out.
All tools, gardening gloves and training will be provided, plus a free lunch and sweet treat.
Please wear closed shoes, long pants, long sleeves, a hat and sunglasses. Bring sunscreen and a water bottle.
This planting is part of Climate Action Week in Sydney, and supported by the Healthy Cities Landcare Grants, a partnership between the City of Parramatta, Landcare NSW, Greater Sydney Landcare and Bupa to plant 10,000 trees, shrubs, grasses and groundcovers along Ponds Creek in Parramatta.
Please arrive by 9am for check-in, training and to avoid missing out on the fun.
Planting will often go ahead in cloudy or wet weather, so please bring appropriate clothing. In the event that the weather is unsafe for planting, Greater Sydney Landcare will contact registered participants by email to let them know that the event has been cancelled.
All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Places are limited. Register now to secure your spot at this hands-on conservation event. Join us in creating a cooler, greener, more resilient Sydney.
