I have been an active member of the Institute for over two decades. I have significant experience in the governance of the EIANZ, serving as Institute Secretary for six years and as Vice-President (Australia) for four years. I have also held a variety of roles at Divisional level in NSW and ACT. I was the recipient of the 2020 Simon Molesworth Award, am a Fellow of the Institute and a Certified Environmental Practitioner.
In addition to my experience on the EIANZ Board, I have broader Board and governance experience, particularly in sport and academia contexts. I am a graduate of the AICD Company Directors' course.
My professional experience spans private and public sectors. I have worked across several fields, including environmental impact assessment, policy and regulation. My current role is with the Australian Government's Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
I am excited about the future for the Institute and the environmental profession more broadly. I welcome opportunities to build on the successes of the past, and to take the Institute forward by providing excellent services to members and engaging the profession to address the significant environmental challenges of our region.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
