Martin Fallding FEIANZ

Martin Fallding has a diverse background in environmental planning, natural science and impact assessment. He is a biodiversity and conservation planning specialist and has been a member of EIANZ since 1996. Based in regional NSW, he has an acute understanding of challenges facing non-metropolitan areas.

Martin is a leading practitioner and innovator in integrating nature in land use planning. He has worked as a government environmental specialist and consultant across disciplinary and organisational boundaries. His reports and publications encompass a wide spectrum of professional practice ranging from environmental management and monitoring to land use and biodiversity planning and climate change.

Martin has provided professional leadership though his advocacy, including involvement in EIANZ events, conferences, preparation of submissions, and support to community organisations. He has been appointed to the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Advisory Panel, NSW Koala Expert Panel, and is Chair of the Hunter-Paterson Environmental Water Advisory Group. He implements sustainability in practice in the establishment and management of his family-owned Hunter Valley ecotourism business Callicoma Hill Eco-Cabins.
