The South Australian Government is introducing a Biodiversity Act and has recently opened consultation on the draft Biodiversity Bill, seeking input to help shape its development. This webinar will provide an overview of the proposed legislation and an opportunity to understand its potential impact. Learn more about the draft bill, including an explanatory guide, FAQs, and a survey available on the YourSAy website. Consultations close on Tuesday 18 February 2025.
Brett Simes, Principal Legislation Officer, Biodiversity at the Department for Environment and Water (DEW), will provide a presentation on the key aspects of the Biodiversity Bill. Brett works within the Conservation and Wildlife branch of the National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia, offering valuable insights into the proposed legislative framework.
