EIANZ WA Division and the National Environmental Law Association (NELA) proudly present "Introduction to the WA Environment Protection Act 1986", a webinar designed to build your understanding of WA's cornerstone environmental legislation.
This event is designed for practitioners new to WA and early career professionals who want to understand how the state's environmental regulatory framework operates. Learn from an expert practitioner and gain essential insights into WA's environmental approval system.
The webinar provides an overview of the key concepts that underpin the Act, including considerations of the relevant Regulations and Guidance materials. This will cover defining terminology, types of approvals under different sections of the Act, how environmental risk is managed and what protections the Act provides to prevent environmental harm with the use of a case study.
The webinar includes a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. This is your opportunity to ask questions and clarify your understanding of WA's environmental regulatory system.
This event is essential for environmental practitioners new to WA, and student and early career professionals aiming to get to grips on this vital legislation.
This event will run off Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) and will run for 1 hour. This webinar will be recorded and the recording will be made available to all registered attendees in the days after the webinar.
