Along the way, explore the history of Birrarung Marr (meaning “Beside the River of Mists”) and hear the ancient stories of the Aboriginal Peoples of the Kulin Nation. Gain a deeper understanding of how this land has evolved over time and the profound cultural significance of the Birrarung Wilam as a sacred gathering place.
The journey concludes with a hands-on experience at the Koorie Heritage Trust, where you can engage with Aboriginal tools, shields, possum-skin cloaks, and other artifacts. This enriching experience provides a rare opportunity to connect with a vibrant cultural hub and deepen your appreciation of Melbourne’s Indigenous heritage.
Attendance is limited to ensure a personalised and interactive experience. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and dress appropriately for the weather.
