It's that time of year again! The formal AGM proceedings will be proceeded by our guest speaker James Rennie, who will present on Drone Technology in Environmental Data Gathering, Now and Beyond – an Overview
Meet the speaker
James Rennie | Managing Director, Australian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
James founded Australian UAV in early 2013 after a 17 year career in technical and management roles in environmental companies and local government. A keen aero modeller as a child saw James develop a lifelong passion for aviation that collided with his professional data and analytic skills.
He has now amassed over 2000 commercial drone flights that have taken him around Australia and as far afield as Antarctica and Armenia. James is recognised as one of the leaders in drone service delivery in Australia and has presented internationally. AUAV has been listed in the top 20 drone companies globally for the past two years by Drone Industry Insights based out of Germany.
As CEO and Chief Remote Pilot at AUAV his role is largely office based now but he does still occasionally get his hands dirty on complex projects.
James will use video, animations and graphics to present an overview of the wide range of environmental data gathering applications using drones, both currently and possibilities into the future.
Following James' presentation, the term of office of all currently elected officers of the EIANZ Vic Division will expire at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting. Nominations are called for any of the general Committee positions for the period 2022 to 2023.
Only current financial members are eligible to nominate for these positions. All nominations must be endorsed by two EIANZ Full Members or Fellows.
Nominations can be made by completing a nomination form and forwarding it to Martin Juniper, Vic Division President at martin.l.juniper@northeastlink.vic.gov.au to arrive no later than 30 August 2022.
In the event of more than one nomination being received for any one position, a ballot will be held at the Annual General Meeting.
In the event that Full members or Fellow members are unable to attend the AGM they may appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf.
The proxy form should be completed and emailed to martin.l.juniper@northeastlink.vic.gov.au by 30 August 2022.
