Environmental professionals are feeling the pressure to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) but often don't know where to start. The rapidly changing pace of AI can leave many feeling concerned about being left behind. For busy environmental professionals, AI can seem like another complex tool to learn, with unclear benefits and real risks to accuracy and compliance.
This full-day training offers a hands-on solution that goes beyond theory and focuses on practical outcomes. Delivered by Bruce Ross of Leading with Gen-AI, this training cuts through the hype to give you the specific skills you need to make AI a powerful assistant, saving you time and enhancing your work without replacing critical human expertise.

This workshop is designed for environmental professionals and stakeholders across all sectors, including professionals from consulting, planning, government, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the resource sector, community groups, and more. It is open to anyone with an interest in responsibly integrating AI into environmental practice.
The workshop is designed to show how AI can streamline tasks such as report drafting, compliance planning, and data analysis–while reinforcing the critical role of professional judgment and scientific rigour. Participants will leave with practical prompt packs, live-built outputs and clear pathways for embedding AI responsibly into their environmental practice.

Bruce Ross is a Leadership Development specialist and Executive Coach with more than 27 years of experience helping leaders and professionals lift their performance under pressure. He has delivered MBA-level programmes, taught at Auckland University, and supported organisations including Xero, Auckland Airport, and the NZ Institute of Directors.
In recent years Bruce has become a specialist in applied artificial intelligence - recognising its power to augment human expertise and deliver measurable productivity gains. Over the past 15 months he has run AI training with dozens of professional groups, including multiple programs for EIANZ members across Australia and New Zealand. His approach combines leadership psychology, safe AI practice, and hands-on demonstration to ensure participants leave with both confidence and capability.
For this full-day training, Bruce brings a strong focus on the practical needs of environmental professionals.
