Are you interestsed in making a leadership contribution to the environment profession?
This is just one of the topics the EIANZ SEQ Division wants to explore with your help over the coming months, as part of a new initiative to communicate with members and CEnvPs.
Starting on the 11 July 2024 the Division will be regularly convening virtual coffee/tea chats. In sessions of 45 - 60 minutes you will be able to chat with members of the Divisional Committee and other EIANZ members and CEnvPs about things that the environment profession is doing well or things that could be done better. You will get to chat about what the EIANZ is doing, build your networks among professional colleagues, and identify opportunities to grow the environment profession.
The first virtual coffee/tea chat will have a focus on:
What ought the SEQ Division be communicating to political parties about in the lead-up to the coming Queensland election?
As an environmental professional practicing in Queensland what are the environmental policy and management issues that you think the SEQ Division ought to be representing to our political parties as important areas for action in the realms of environmental protection, natural systems and species conservation, and environmental sustainability.
The leadership of the environment profession and your opportunities to contribute
EIANZ is a member-based organisation that elects its leadership at organisation wide and Divisional levels. Roles on the Divisional Committee will soon be open for nomination. Could you be a candidate to fill a role in guiding the governance of the SEQ Division? Members of the current Committee will be happy to answer your questions.
