Meet our Panellists

Sarah Hart is an ecologist with nearly 10 years’ experience in natural resource management, including impact assessments, state significant developments, and long-term ecological monitoring in the NSW mining sector.

Todd Brookes is a Principal and Environment Service Line Lead at bd infrastructure, with nearly two decades of experience guiding major infrastructure projects through complex planning approvals and environmental assessments.

Suzanna Remmerswaal is Group Leader – Impact Assessment and Planning, Sydney at AECOM. She has over fifteen years of experience helping organisations to better understand and manage risks and opportunities relating to climate change, community resilience and our low carbon future.

Allison Reynolds is a Project Hydrogeochemist and Senior Consultant with JBS&G in Sydney with over eight years’ experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation across Australia and the US.

Meet our Networking Guests

Martin Lee is a Senior Approvals Advisor with over 7 years of experience in the environmental sector. He has a strong experience working in Critical State Significant Infrastructure and Development projects, particularly in the industries of transportation infrastructure, energy generation and transmission.

Daniel Shutt is the Environmental Advisor at Gamuda Australia, and is currently working on the Sydney Metro West – Western Tunnelling package. or over 2 years, his role has been to support the environmental planning, approvals, construction and compliance in civil and tunnelling delivery.

Sarah Bolton is a Project Environmental Scientist at Epic Environmental, with over five years of experience in the contaminated land and remediation industry. Her role includes the development and implementation of sampling plans, interpretation and reporting of data, and developing and executing tailored site-specific remediation programs.

Braiya White is an environmental scientist and coastal manager with qualifications in geoscience and maritime policy. She is currently working as a Coast & Estuaries Officer at Shoalhaven City Council. Prior to this, Braiya spent several years as a consultant environmental scientist and hydrogeologist/groundwater modeller.

Kacey Tada is an Ecologist at Eco Logical Australia, and has actively participated in numerous field-based projects, including targeted threatened flora and fauna surveys, long-term biodiversity monitoring, and aquatic macroinvertebrate surveys.

David Bonjer is the Principal Planning Consultant / Sydney Operations Manager at Eco Logical Australia. He has over 20 years of experience in urban development, environmental approvals, and strategic planning, and has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, policy development, and regulatory compliance.

Elin Griffiths is an Associate Environmental Consultant and Hydrogeologist at ADE Consulting Group, specialising in hydrogeological assessments of contaminated sites. She has over a decade of experience in landfill hydrogeology and brownfield redevelopment across the transport, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Alison Horlyck is a Technical Director at GHD with over 16 years of experience in environmental and waste management engineering. Alison is a chartered engineer who has been involved in a diverse range of waste management, remediation and environmental containment projects across Australia and internationally.

Lauren Xuereb is currently a Senior Environmental Planner in the GHD Sydney Environmental Approvals and Air and Noise business group. She has over 6 years of experience as an environmental planner working across market sectors of waste management, resource recovery, road, rail and water infrastructure, and renewable energy.

Cynthia Provoste is a Senior Climate Change Planning & Assessment Officer at the Environment Protection Authority. Cynthia has contributed to a range of projects across government, consultancy, and the private sector, including renewable energy developments, infrastructure projects, and green hydrogen initiatives.

Fiona Gainsford CEnvP-IA +REAP FEIANZ is a leading independent environmental consultant and sole trader. She has expertise in environmental impact assessment, environmental planning, environmental risk and compliance, NSW environmental legislation, climate change risks and opportunities, program delivery, and high-level facilitation with government agencies.

Michael Chilcott is a Commissioner with the Independent Planning Commission, and has completed a seven year term as a Commissioner with the Land and Environment Court (LEC) of NSW. Michael is an environmental practitioner with experience in the fields of environmental impact assessment, environmental law, natural resource planning and management, protected area planning, environmental policy, community and governmental relations.

Rob Beckett is a Senior Project Developer at FRV Australia. Rob began his career with the NSW Department of Planning. Initially working on policy reform Environmental Impact Assessment, he then progressed to environmental assessment of major solar, wind, and battery storage projects across NSW.
