Nature Repair Market webinar series | Webinar 1: An Introduction to the scheme's policy and regulatory framework with DCCEEW and CER

About the webinar series

This is the first webinar in our three-part webinar series which gives environmental practitioners a practical grounding in Australia's Nature Repair Market - the national biodiversity certificate scheme established under the Nature Repair Market Act.

This webinar will focus specifically on an introduction to the scheme's policy and regulatory framework with DCCEEW and CER

Across three sessions, the series moves from policy and regulatory foundations, through the scientific methodology underpinning certificate integrity, to the tools and platforms used in practice - equipping ecologists and other professionals to engage with the Market with confidence.

This series will help attendees:

  • Describe the structure, purpose and current state of the Nature Repair Market and broadly understand stacking arrangements with the ACCU scheme
  • Introduction to the role of the CER and registering a Nature Repair Market project
  • Explain the role and responsibilities of a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP)
  • Identify the steps involved in registering and managing a Nature Repair project
  • Understand the basic structure of the Replanting Native Forests and Woodlands Method and the Enhancing Native Vegetation Method
  • Navigate PLANR
