The EIANZ Board has adopted changes to Institute’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (Code) to recognise Indigenous knowledge, values, and rights. The proposed changes were initially developed by the Institute’s Indigenous Engagement Working Group and refined to reflect the substantial feedback received from members and CEnvPs over the past several months through surveys and facilitated workshops. The Board is now seeking ratification from members of the Code changes through their endorsement at a Special General Meeting on 26 May 2021.

Purpose

The purpose of the Special General Meeting is to consider a resolution to ratify amendments to the EIANZ Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct that have been endorsed by the EIANZ Board. Detailed information on the amendments is provided in the links below.

Important information

• The meeting is being held in accordance with the Institute’s Rules of Association.
• All EIANZ members are welcome to attend the meeting, but only Life Members, Fellows and Full Members can vote on the resolution.
• If you are an eligible voting member and are unable to attend the meeting, you can nominate a proxy. Details on how to nominate a proxy are provided in the Proxy Form below.

Registration information

• The meeting will take place online and registration is a two-step process to ensure members only are participating.
  Once you register for the event on the EIANZ website, you will receive a confirmation email. In this email there is a link to register for the meeting via Zoom - this will generate a link to the meeting that is unique to you.
