EIANZ 2025 Annual General Meeting

EIANZ’s 2025 Annual General Meeting will be held via Zoom on Wednesday 26 November at 1pm AEDT. To receive a link to access the Zoom webinar you will be required to register for this event.

This is an opportunity for members to hear from the EIANZ Board and gain an overview of the Institute’s activities, performance and current direction.

All voting members (Full, Fellow and Honorary Life Members) are encouraged to attend, especially seeing as this AGM will include a Special Resolution to propose changes to the Rules of Association under Rule 35 (further details below).

A change to the Rules requires a quorum of 30 voting members (including proxies) and acceptance by 75% of votes.

Those unable to attend may appoint another voting member to vote on their behalf (under Rule 30), using the proxy form available below, which must be received by the Institute no less than 24 hours prior to the start of the AGM.

EIANZ’s external auditors have issued an unqualified opinion on the Institute’s 2024-25 financial reports, indicating complete satisfaction.

Special Resolution for a suite of amendments to the Rules of Association.

After consulting with the Advisory Council and members, the Board will propose a suite of amendments to the Rules of Association aimed at ensuring they remain fit for purpose and are aligned with contemporary best practices.

The changes focus on:

  • Modernising administrative processes and language
  • Enhancing procedural fairness, particularly in disciplinary matters
  • Expanding our certification and accreditation framework
  • Improving governance and operational efficiency

All changes have been reviewed and approved to ensure legal compliance, and the Advisory Council (comprised of each Divisional President and each Special Interest Section Chair) has endorsed the amendments. Following a six-week member consultation period, one minor change was adopted.

Proxies

  • Eligible members can appoint another voting member as their proxy to vote on any resolutions and speak on their behalf at the AGM
  • The appointment of a proxy must be in writing using the accompanying AGM proxy form
  • Please send your form appointing a proxy by email or post to the EIANZ President at office@eianz.org or to Suite 3, 255 Whitehorse Road, Balwyn, VIC, 3103. Your form must be received no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the commencement of the meeting to take effect.
