2016 Annual Conference
The Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand's 2016 Annual Conference was held in Brisbane. The Conference is EIANZ's signature event and provides outstanding value to members and other environmental practitioners. It was an excellent opportunity for environmental practitioners to expand their horizons, challenge conventional thinking and network with fellow professionals. It was also a great opportunity for members to showcase their work and share important lessons with their peers.
This year’s theme was Foundations for Tomorrow. We explored environmental trends and their influence on the environment industry through to 2050.
The conference considered the following themes:
- Evolving legislative regimes
- Changing social and community attitudes and expectations
- Emerging impacts of environmental change
- Development of new economic tools for better environmental management
- New technologies and their application, including developments in the renewable energy sector
- New approaches to training the next generation of environmental practitioners.
