Dr MacLaren North is a heritage advisor and historical archaeologist with over thirty years of professional practice. Since 2006, he has worked in private practice and has founded several heritage consulting firms. Prior to that, he worked for ten years in NSW government, for the heritage regulator and for a large government utility providing heritage advice on asset management and operations. He occasionally works as an expert witness in heritage matters. His work has encompassed infrastructure (new build, modification and operations), commercial, industrial and large scale residential projects. He is a Fellow of EIANZ and a former Chair of the Heritage SEAC.
