Ayesha has recently started her career in sustainability, working to expand sustainability programs for university students through partnerships with local councils and community organisations. She is passionate about creating practical, local impact and making sustainability accessible to wider communities.

Whilst at university, she studied Chemistry and Environmental Studies, exploring the science behind materials such as plastics alongside environmental policy and law. She also completed an Honours project developing organic solar cells in the lab. Alongside her studies, Ayesha spent three years delivering events and finding ways to make them more sustainable. She also secured a sustainability grant to establish a slow fashion sewing space, encouraging students to explore clothing repair, reuse and circularity.

Ayesha is part of the NSW Student and Early Careers Committee, where she works to connect students with environmental professionals and help bridge the gap between university and industry. She is excited to contribute to the committee and create opportunities for students to learn from and connect with people across the industry.
