The Opportunity

Pressure to minimise and manage the impacts of developments on our environment is mounting. WSP provides comprehensive environmental assessment, management and compliance as well as urban and regional planning services. This ranges from involvement at the earliest stages of a project, such as feasibility studies, to securing environmental approvals, subsequent monitoring and auditing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

We are well positioned on major infrastructure projects in Victoria and already on tender teams with tier 1 contractors for detailed design and delivery projects in 2021. Specifically, we are preparing for several major rail and road projects including precinct planning and significant tunnelling components.

As such, we’re looking to bolster our senior EES/EIA capability and hire a technical lead to provide expertise on Victoria based environmental assessment and approvals, deliver on city and community-enhancing projects, and bring connectivity and market eminence. We currently have a good pipeline but need someone who can bolster own forward work load.

Some of the key projects we’ve recently been involved in:

  • DoT Transport Network Planning, Technical & Communication Services panel – WSP provide planning and environmental services for the Intermodal Freight Precinct Business Case and Design Development and Costing for the Outer Metropolitan Ring Transport Corridor (OMR).
  • Beaufort Bypass Environmental Effects Statement (EES) – existing conditions, options assessment, community engagement, environmental impact assessments, EES authoring and Planning Scheme Amendment for the Beaufort Bypass component of the Western Highway duplication.
  • Southern Program Alliance, Level Crossing Removals – environment and planning approvals, assessment and management during the delivery stage of multiple level crossing removals in Melbourne’s south.
