About the opportunity
Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the Land, Planning and Environment team.
The Sustainability Advisor will be ensuring environmental and sustainability considerations across the whole of the North East Link Project are implemented according to community expectation, relevant legislation and project specifications.
You will be responsible for:
Collaborating with internal project teams, contractors and technical advisory services within a matrix structure to define, measure and achieve NELP's Sustainability Policy across multiple delivery packages
Providing contemporary advice and options to project teams relative to sustainability matters, in order to support the achievement of sustainability objectives across multiple delivery packages
Assist in measuring, managing and monitoring sustainability outcomes and associated data; reporting on the progress of sustainability objectives and targets as per project milestones
Identifying opportunities for improving sustainability performance across various delivery packages
About you
You are:
Passionate about contributing to a positive, open, delivery focussed culture that values and supports others, and has an approach based on collaboration, achievement and challenging the status quo
Provide inputs from a sustainability perspective when reviewing statutory planning approvals and procurement and contract documentation
Adopt a continuous improvement mindset when developing and implementing programs, practices and measuring tools to support the planning and delivery of the North East Link Sustainability Program
Passionate about ensuring the highest ethical standard in the delivery of NELP's objectives, with strong commitment to the management of safety across all delivery packages and al land, planning and environment activities
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
