Nationally, the SLR team provides a wide range of project management, environmental impact assessment, approvals and post-consent environmental management services across a variety of sectors. These services range from initial project scoping, to the impact assessment and project approval, post-approval, environmental management compliance, auditing, rehabilitation and closure planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Job tasks and responsibilities:
As a member of our Environmental Assessment & Management Team, you will support delivery of a range of infrastructure and mining projects. You will be working alongside a Principal Consultant and will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals for a range of projects with a focus on road infrastructure projects
  • Be an all-round key support person to large projects as well as take responsibility for your own projects
  • Delivering the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on quality
  • Assist with preparing fee proposals
  • Preparing high quality reports including Environmental Assessment Reports and Environmental Design Reports
  • Preparing environmental approvals documentation  


Skills and experience:
You will also possess the following skills:

  • A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree
  • Circa 5 years' experience at a professional level
  • Experience in environmental impact assessments, preferably in the road infrastructure sector in Queensland
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approvals in Queensland, specifically with regarding road infrastructure with mining approvals an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframes
  • Be flexible and agile on project requirements and have excellent multi-tasking ability
  • A positive attitude with a passion in Environmental Science
  • A clear, concise and professional writing style
  • Adaptable, fast paced and self-motivated
  • The ability to analyse and interpret situations and problems, and develop appropriate solutions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia
