Due to the ongoing success of our growing water services team, we are currently seeking a qualified candidate to take on a role as a junior Environmental Scientist based in our Brisbane office. We have the projects and team to develop the technical skills to further your career at Epic.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of projects for a wide range of clients under the direction of our Team Leaders and Principals. You will support the delivery of environmental projects with a focus on water quality (freshwater and marine) supporting environmental impact assessments, mining projects and environmental compliance.
This position offers excellent variety of work and in the role you will:
Fieldwork, including exciting travel opportunities, is an integral part of this role. The role involves undertaking field based collection and may involve field work in remote areas for extended periods of time (up to 2-3 weeks). The role also involves writing internal and client correspondence and reports and data interpretation & analysis. An interest in vessel-based field work would be desirable (and interest in obtaining required license to drive vessels), along with an interest in equipment maintenance (water quality instrumentation).
