The SA Division invites you to join us for a networking event in the Adelaide CBD. We will be joined by our recently appointed EIANZ Fellow, David Wiltshire as our guest speaker.
Meet the Speaker
David Wiltshire, Director | Social & Ecological Assessment Pty Ltd
David Wiltshire is one of SA’s most experienced environmental scientists, having worked as an environmental consultant throughout Australia and overseas for approximately 35 years. He has been a Director of one of Adelaide’s first environmental consulting firms, Social and Ecological Assessment Pty Ltd, for 30 years, and has undertaken a diverse range of consulting assignments throughout Australia and overseas, specialising in environmental impact assessment, environmental management and applied ecology. A significant proportion of David’s experience has been associated with the management of marine systems. He is recognised as one of SA’s leading marine ecologists, having developed considerable expertise in assessing the marine ecological effects of industrial and urban developments and in monitoring the impacts of industrial and urban discharges to the sea.
David’s presentation will focus on the Upper Spencer Gulf: Marine Environmental Values, Protection and Development. The presentation will outline the main environmental values of Upper Spencer Gulf, the main threats to these values and environmental protection measures employed, particularly over the last 40 years with progress in our understanding of how the marine ecosystem functions.
