In a career spanning over 25 years, Hamish has held a diversity of senior Environmental and Sustainability roles and has consistently sought to elevate and promote the importance of environmental professionals as key participants and contributors in solving and resolving the trans-disciplinary challenges that society continues to face including the role that environmental management must play in supporting environmental protection.
The early influence of senior colleagues reinforced a focus on scientific principles, high professional standards, curiosity and lifelong learning as the foundations for his career and this has been at the centre of his service to the profession, at times in challenging professional situations.
Hamish maintains an active presence across Industry, is a member of State and National associations and has been an EIANZ member since 2005. Hamish has been a Mentor in the Young Professionals Mentoring Program and Policy Chair for the SEQ Divisional Committee from 2021 to 2023.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
