WA 2024 Division Mentoring Program | Mentee registration

You are registering as a MENTEE

Professional mentoring is a powerful tool for environmental professionals at any stage of their career. For early career professionals, a positive mentoring partnership can promote confidence, instil ethics, inspire passion and stimulate career growth.

The program is free for mentees who are EIANZ members and $75 for mentees who are not EIANZ members.

Who can participate?

The following eligibility criteria is proposed to ensure that the purpose and objectives of the mentoring program are more likely to be met:

  • Mentees should have at least 2 years of working experience in private and/or public practice.
  • Mentors should have a minimum of 8 years of working experience in a variety of environmental, social, sustainability and heritage roles, in private and/or public practice. Mentors will have excellent communication skills, particularly listening, a desire to contribute to the future of the planning profession and the time to commit to several 1 hour meetings for the duration of the program.

Registration is a 2-part process.

  1. Register as a mentor via the blue registration box below; and

  2. Complete the mentee pairing survey here →

You need to complete both parts of the registration process on or before Friday 16 February 2024 to be considered for this program.

What happens next?

Eligible mentees will be invited to the speed pairing event via Zoom on 13 March 2024. The results of the pairing survey and the speed pairing event will help us match you with a suitable mentor / mentee.

You will be notified of your mentee/mentor pairing by the mid-March 2024.

If you are not successfully paired, mentees who paid a participation fee will receive a refund.

For information relating to the program please review the FAQ document here →
