A sustainable new town on Canberra’s doorstep

Googong is a growing Green-star accredited community (5 stars), which is just outside Canberra. Join us on a field trip to celebrate World Environment Day and get the inside scoop about all the features of Googong. We’ll cover diverse aspects from the integrated water cycle system, ecology (including the Pink-tailed Worm-lizard), heritage and landscape design.

Featuring experts on many aspects of Googong, including:

Field trip details

Meet at the ACT Legislative Assembly, London Circuit at 8:45am for prompt bus departure.

Bus will return to the ACT Legislative Assembly at approximately 2:30pm.

Cost includes bus throughout the day, morning tea, lunch and great company!

Bring water, hat and sunscreen. To tour the water recycling plan, you will also need covered shoes, high viz vest and safety glasses.
