EIANZ Tasmanian Division Professional Development Seminar Series
Stormwater Management
John Chrispijn is the Senior Stormwater Management Officer for the State Government-backed Derwent Estuary Program. He is involved with the implementation of stormwater management including water sensitive urban design, stormwater harvesting, soil and water management, planning, community engagement, council coordination and setting stormwater management policy on a State level.
Fish Species Mapping in Tasmanian Waters
Dr. Gretta Pecl is a Fulbright Fellow and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies at the University of Tasmania. Her current research includes how species distributions are shifting in response to climate change, assessing fishery responses to climate change, working with marine industries to develop constructive adaptation options, and on using citizen science approaches for ecological monitoring and engagement (http://www.REDMAP.org.au).
Light lunch will be provided.
