EIANZ hosts Environmental Planning, Policy, Law and Practice Alliance 2011 Convocation

Professional Associations across environmental management and research, law, planning and engineering, gathered in Brisbane on June 15 2011 to discuss:

how professional organisations might be able to work together to progress planning, policy and legal issues in accordance with sound environmental principles.
the various professional development and certification programs being undertaken within organisations.
Other important issues discussed how the environment profession may need to change to ensure continuing professional relevance and, to build an “Environmental Planning, Policy, Law and Practice Alliance".
It is anticipated that the output from the Convocation will build an action plan for Alliance organisations to work together more efficiently and effectively in the future. Organisations represented at the 2011 Convocation included the:
