VIC - Urban Renewal - Not only Fishermans Bend

Published 18th February 16 12:00 AM

EIANZ Victoria with the Australasian Land & Groundwater Association invite you to join our expert presenters and panel on Wednesday 16 March 2016 at 5:30pm to explore the role and importance of the policy and regulatory landscape in facilitating redevelopment of urban renewal sites.

Iconic sites like Fishermans Bend and Barangaroo are key pieces of the urban renewal jigsaw, but the overall picture is of a city transforming its industrial and manufacturing history to accommodate a rapidly growing population.

This seminar will provide a comparative perspective on the complex variety of urban renewal projects and will discuss the following:

  • What are the key issues and challenges?
  • What policy conditions and legal framework is required to make these projects work?
  • How does the market view these projects, what conditions are required to make them attractive to investors and property developers?
  • What has been done well and what was failed?
  • What are the lessons learnt from existing and completed projects?

Refer to the event flyer for details on the presenters.
