Very much influenced by EIANZ, working as a research assistant at the Institute of Applied Environmental Research at Griffith University around the time the EIANZ was launched by Tor Hundloe, Paulette has been a strong advocate of the Institute and of the CEnvP program throughout her 30 year career in environmental practice.

Over those years she has been witness to the rise of environmental professionals and has played a role in bridging what were significant gaps between scientists, the commercial world and regulators – one project at time. She has introduced and mentored many ecologists in consulting practice, which is not always a great fit but an absolute necessity to ensure the accuracy of information relied upon by decision-makers.

Adhering to the EIANZ Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct has been key to retaining skilled ecologists and her specialist ecological consultancy (BAAM) is known for technical excellence, integrity and professionalism - key ingredients to achieve cooperation for sustainable outcomes.
