Belinda Bastow

Belinda Bastow has over 20 years’ experience in the Environment, Safety and Sustainability in the Resource Sector, beginning her career in 1996 as an Environmental Research Officer. She was given her first management role in 2005 as Manager of Environment/Rehabilitation at St Barbara, and in 2014, she started her own Perth based specialist environmental service company; Integrate Sustainability.

Belinda has been an Institute member since 2014, and is currently president of the WA Division, a position she has held since 2016.

She holds a Master of Environmental Law, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and has completed a post graduate diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment.

Belinda’s passion for the environment is evident through her involvement with several committees and advisory panels. She is a member of: The Chamber of Minerals and Energy Environmental Management Committee, the Chamber of Minerals and Energy Approvals Working Group, the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies Environment and Water Committee, the Goldfield Environmental Management Group, the Environmental Practitioners Network and the Technical Advisory Panel for the Great Victoria Desert Biodiversity Trust.

Belinda is a senior practitioner of considerable influence who continues to make outstanding contributions to the development of the environment profession in Western Australia; this is demonstrated through the Environmental Intern Program she has established within her company that typically mentors 2-3 interns for 1 day/week each semester. She provides advice and feedback to the WA EPA as part of her position on the Stakeholder Advisory Group, and the Institute is proud to announce her new standing as Fellow.
